Museum Education

The Mütter Museum is dedicated to improving the health of the public through its education programs, services, and resources.

Schedule a Group Visit or Tour

A visit to the Museum offers a unique environment for students to learn about health and medicine. Group admission rates are available for groups of ten or more people. Guided tours are optional and availability is not guaranteed. See Group Visits for information and registration.

Mütter Lessons

(Note: Mütter Lessons are only offered Monday through Friday.)

The Museum offers classes called Mütter Lessons that will enhance your class's museum experience. Read about the thirteen Mütter Lesson topics here.

Mütter on the Road

Can't make it to the Mütter Museum? We can come to you! Our Museum Educator can travel to your classroom to teach a Mütter Lesson. Lessons feature specimens from the Museum, as well as hands-on material. The cost is $150 for the first lesson and $65 for any additional lessons at the same site. These classes are available within a 25-mile radius of Philadelphia.
