The Center for Education and Public Initiatives (CEPI) provides afterschool and summer programs for Philadelphia high school students.

The Karabots Junior Fellows Program

The Karabots Junior Fellows Program provides practical assistance, mentoring, and academic and social support to a select group of Philadelphia high school students from communities under-represented in current healthcare professions. This three-year program is designed to facilitate their continuation into post-secondary education required for a career in health care. The Karabots Foundation generously funds the program. The Teva Internship Program

Since 2010, a generous grant from Teva Pharmaceuticals has allowed The College of Physicians of Philadelphia to work with high school students from across Philadelphia for several weeks each summer. In 2014, during its fifth year, sixteen rising 11th and 12th graders explored the impact of violence on themselves and their communities. Learn more about the program HERE.


Out4STEM is a a program that provides immersive STEM education resources to Philadelphia’s LGBTQ high school youth and college-age students.

The Mütter Museum helps the public appreciate the mysteries and beauty of the human body while understanding the history of diagnosis and treatment of disease.
