Cemeterrarium Workshop


Create your very own cemeterrarium!

Join us for a workshop on how to create your very own cemeterrarium! Joining us from Laurel Hill Cemetery, Cat Aboudara will give a brief lecture about cemeteries, focusing on the peculiar Victorian pastime of picnicking in cemeteries. Eric Hillegass from Bespoke will guide you in how to build your own one-of-a-kind green graveyard to take home. 

All supplies for your green graveyard are included in ticket price!

11:30-11:45am – Lecture with Cat Aboudara from Laurel Hill Cemetery
11:45am-12:00pm – How-to make a terrarium with Eric Hillegass from BESPOKE home + life
12:00-1:00pm – Create your Cemeterrarium!

Class participants will be offered a class + museum discount:

· Non-Member: Class Only – $45.00

· Non-Member: Class + Museum Access – $50.00

· Member: Class + Museum Access - $35.00

About Cat Aboudara

Cat Aboudara is the Manager of Programs and Civic Engagement at the Friends of Laurel Hill & West Laurel Hill Cemetery. She is a program manager with over twelve years experience in complex program management across departments, agencies and communities. She has produced provocative educational series previously at the Franklin Institute, Smithsonian museums, California Academy of Sciences and Nerd Nite that successfully fostered life-long learning in adults through curiosity and play.
