Library Pop-up: Banned Books

In conjunction with the American Library Association’s Banned Books Week the library will be displaying banned or contested in the history of medicine and science! Banned Books Week is an annual awareness campaign that celebrates the freedom to read and write.

Such titles will include the first encyclopedia and the first edition of The Origin of Species by Charles Darwin. Come learn why they were banned!

The picture attached is from Atlas of Topographical and Applied Human Anatomy by Eduard Pernkopf.
