Library Pop-Up: Herbals

April showers bring May flowers!

The Historical Medical Library of The College of Physicians of Philadelphia will be displaying their herbal collection. An herbal is a book that describes herbs and their culinary or medicinal properties.

The library will have its oldest herbal on display, Hortus Sanitatus(1491). Hortus Sanitatus is 1 of 400 of the College’s incunables (a book published before 1500)!

Access to this event is included with purchase of your General Admission ticket to the Mütter Museum. Click here to purchase tickets. Visit the Library anytime between 1:00pm-4:00pm on May 28th.
