Spit Spreads Death: Panel Discussion

Register Here!

Welcome behind the scenes of an exhibition in progress! Join Trevor Smith, Curator of the Present Tense of the Peabody Essex Museum, Jane Boyd, Independent Historical Curator, and Matt Adams, artist member of Blast Theory, as they describe their collaborative process developing future Mütter Museum exhibition Spit Spreads Death. Smith, Boyd, and Adams will discuss how history researchers are thinking like artists, artists like museum curators, and how art can engage an audience to create a simulated community in the throes of the worst pandemic the world has experienced.

Seating is limited. Register here!

This event will live stream on the Mütter Museum Facebook page

Support for the research and development of Spit Spreads Death has been provided by The Pew Center for Arts & Heritage.

The Mütter Museum helps the public appreciate the mysteries and beauty of the human body while understanding the history of diagnosis and treatment of disease.
