Press & Media

The Mütter Museum of The College of Physicians of Philadelphia is happy to work with members of the media and press! We love to share and tell stories from our collections.

Please be aware that due to the nature of our collections, we do have several policies and guidelines in place. We're also a very small team, although we will help you as best as we can to get what you need.

Image Requests

Please email for general images of the museum and specific exhibits/exhibitions. These can be shared with and used by the media and for non-commercial use with credit: The Mütter Museum of The College of Physicians of Philadelphia

Our Historical Medical Library also has an extensive online digital library of images from both the library and museum collections. Many of these are available for non-commercial use under Creative Commons Licenses. Please check each image for rights and attribution requirements.

Other Image Requests: Please email if there is a specific artifact, item, or image that you're looking for. Click here for commercial, academic, or non-media image requests.

Please email us if you feature us - we love to share our favorite pieces on our social media.

Interview Requests

Contact us if you'd like an interview, quote, or comment, rather than contacting another staff member directly. We will get you to the right person depending on your story and your deadline needs.

Guidelines for Filming and Photography at The Mütter Museum (pdf)

We have worked with many film and television outlets in the past to produce fascinating educational and newsworthy content about our work! We can't promise that we will be able to give you the access, interviews, or story that you're looking for, so please read our guidelines before getting in touch.
