SEPTA and Amtrak 

SEPTA’s green trolley line stops at Market and 22nd Sts., just a half-block north of the Museum. 

SEPTA’s Suburban Station is a short walk or cab ride from the Museum.

SEPTA’s Regional Rail and Market-Frankford Line and all Amtrak trains arrive at Philadelphia’s 30th St. Station, which is a 10-minute walk or short cab ride from the Museum. 

To walk to the Museum from 30th St. Station, exit the station, and walk east on Market Street across the Schuylkill River bridge toward 22nd St. Turn right on 22nd St; the Museum is in the middle of the block.

 

PATCO

PATCO connects with SEPTA at the 8th and Market Street Station. Transfer to the westbound Market-Frankford Line. Travel four stops to 30th Street. Follow the directions above from 30th St. Station.

 

Driving Directions  

From the South

Take I-95N to I-76W. Take exit 345 to 30th Street. Turn right onto Chestnut St. Turn left onto S. 22nd St. The Museum is on the right.

From the North

Take I-95S to I-676W. Take the Benjamin Franklin Parkway exit. Turn right on 22nd Street and right on the Benjamin Franklin Parkway. Turn right on N. 21st St. Turn right on Sansom St. Turn right onto S. 22nd St. The Museum is 1.5 blocks ahead on the right.

From the West

Take I-76E to Philadelphia. Take exit 344 on to the left to I-676E. Take the 23rd St. exit and turn right onto N. 23rd St. Turn left on Chestnut St. Turn left on 22nd St. The Museum is on the right. 

From New Jersey

Take the Benjamin Franklin Bridge to I-676W. Follow the From the North directions above.

 

Parking

 

Unfortunately there is not a parking lot associated with the building. Two paid lots are directly next to and behind the building. Pictured above is the entrance to the parking lot on Market Street, in between 22nd and 21st streets. The second photo is the entrance to the parking lot on 21st Street, in between Market and Chestnut streets. There is also metered on-street parking on most of the streets surrounding the Museum.
