How did the influenza pandemic of 1918–19 affect Philadelphia’s neighborhoods? Join the Mütter Museum and Hidden City Philadelphia for a virtual tour that loops around South Street west of Broad and focuses on the Black community a century ago, from longtime residents to recent migrants from the South. We’ll learn about churches, clubhouses, hospitals, and rowhouses as we explore life before, during, and after the influenza pandemic that killed more than 17,500 Philadelphians in 1918–19.
