Join us for an introductory cross stitch workshop to learn about the connection between crafting and mental health!

As part of our programming tied to our Creative Processing: Art in Therapy exhibit, the Mütter Museum is hosting an event with Elissa Grybowski, an art therapy student and fiber arts professional, to celebrate how this and other forms of art making have been used for years to promote wellness and mental health.

There will be a brief talk going over the instructions for the craft and opening remarks on needlework’s role in art therapy as well.

Ticket price includes a cross stitch kit consisting of all needed materials and a simple pattern for beginners or experienced stitchers alike! There will also be two hours of hands-on instruction available to guests. Spots are limited so sign up today.

Timeline:

6:00: Doors open

6:15: Opening remarks and instructions

6:30-8:30: Opportunity for crafting with assistance as needed
