Fungi Fatale: An Exploration of Toxic Mushrooms and Deadly Plants

About This Event

Join us for an exploration of the toxic fungi found in our own backyards. We'll learn how to identify these deadly creatures, how they interact with our bodies, and how to treat the illnesses they cause before it's too late. After our discussion on fungi, we'll take a guided lantern stroll around the Historic Benjamin Rush Medicinal Garden and explore other deadly plants.

About the Speaker

Sam Bucciarelli is a Land Management professional and a community leader in the Philadelphia Mycology Club. She has spent the last several years growing an in-depth knowledge of the local flora, fauna, and funga and spends her free time sharing this passion with others.
