College of Physicians of Philadelphia
Latinx Community Night

The College of Physicians welcomes Puentes de Salud to speak at our first Latinx Community Night. Puentes de Salud is a Philadelphia-based nonprofit organization focused on providing high-quality health care and innovative educational programs to the Latinx immigrant community.
Please join us this evening to learn about the initiative and motivation behind the services they provide. Dr. Daphne Owen, Director of Medical Education, and Orfelina Payne, Executive Director, from Puentes de Salud will discuss their work and share opportunities for community members to help and volunteer. All members of the community are encouraged to come. A light reception will be available throughout the event.
About the Speakers:
Orfelina Feliz Payne, Executive Director (Orfelina.Payne@puentesdesalud.org)

She has a bachelor’s degree in Applied Psychology from the Pennsylvania State University and a master’s degree in Business from Gwynedd Mercy University. She has also earned a Business Process Management Certification from Villanova University and Six Sigma Green Belt Certification. Lina joined Puentes after serving for almost 18 years in various positions at Community Behavioral Health (CBH), the primary contracted behavioral health provider for the City of Philadelphia and a key partner in Philadelphia-based health initiatives. As the first Latina Director within the City of Philadelphia’s Department of Behavioral Health & Intellectual Disabilities, she most recently served as Senior Director of Member Services at CBH where she was responsible for a budget of $3M and supervised a staff of 51 people.
