Meet & Geek: Creating a City of Medicine
Lecture

Join us for our July Meet and Geek to learn more about Creating a City of Medicine, our new exhibition!
takes visitors on a journey that examines the development of medical education, technological innovation, and community-based healing practices in Philadelphia. From a catastrophic yellow fever outbreak in the nation's early years that divided physicians and spurred mutual aid response to the rise of “pathological anatomy,” homeopathy, and the “bacterial revolution,” the exhibition delves into several noteworthy periods of medical history. Dive deeper into the exhibition's stories, people, and materials on July 9 with Senior Director of Interpretation Sara Ray, PhD.
