About The Book

"The Unseen Body" is a unique journey through the human body from the perspective of a traveler or naturalist exploring a new land. Each chapter is about one specific body part or bodily fluid, and each combines stories from Reisman's medical training and career with stories about traveling to remote parts of the world, exploring nature, and the overlap of anatomy and food. From the bathroom to the bedroom, "The Unseen Body" explores every aspect of the human body in a surprisingly literary way.
