Potions, Poisons, & Pathology: 150 Years of Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland
When Charles Lutwidge Dodgson (1832 – 1898), better known as Lewis Carroll, took us down the rabbit hole in Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland, he created a fantastical world full of whimsical characters. Carroll’s own health and the health of the world around him were reflected in his work, and decades later his book influenced the field of medicine. The Mütter Museum celebrates the 150th anniversary of Carroll’s work with a look into the medical aspects of this timeless tale.
