The Allen R. Myers, MD Welcome Gallery

Permanent Exhibition

Mütter Museum

The Allen R. Myers Welcome Gallery is a new permanent gallery that introduces visitors to The College of Physicians of Philadelphia and its diverse initiatives.

When visitors step into our 19 S 22nd Street building, we will welcome them with a visual history of the College, the home of the oldest professional medical organization in the United States.

A group of prominent physicians determined to improve the quality of life for individuals, communities, and society established the College in 1787. Today, we honor the goals of our founders through our many diverse initiatives, including the Mütter Museum and Historical Medical Library, the Center for Public Health, College Fellowship, and our Sections.

This gallery provides the public to learn about all these initiatives as part of our goal to engage our communities and expand the public’s understanding of health and medical history through exhibitions, public programs, lectures, and educational opportunities.
